Jesse L. Petrea

Jesse Petrea is the Regional Vice President for Business Development - GA, AL, SC for Help at Home. He was formerly an entrepreneur and the co-owner of Coastal Home Care, Inc. and Altrus, Inc. for many years before selling to Help at Home in January 2019. These companies provide community based services to the frail elderly and developmentally disabled from their corporate offices in Savannah. Jesse has been deeply immersed in Georgia’s home and community based services since 1992. Over the years, he has been appointed to provide leadership to multiple advisory bodies, such as the Governor’s Health Strategies Council, and several industry trade associations including the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers and the Assisted Living Association of Georgia, where he has served as Director and President. He is also a Board member of the Home Care Association of America, the  Health Care Mutual Captive Insurance Company, and the Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Jesse is currently the elected State Representative for Georgia House District 166 which includes the eastern parts of Chatham and Bryan counties. He is Chairman of the Human Resources and Aging committee and a member of the Appropriations Committee, the Health and Human Services Committee, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee, and the Game, Fish, and Parks Committee.
    
Jesse is a graduate of Benedictine Military School and a 1989 graduate of Armstrong State College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He and his wife are natives of Savannah and have two children and two grandchildren. He is a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Forest City Gun Club, the Skidaway Island Republican Club, the Tybee Island Republican Club, and the Savannah Area Republican Women's club. He enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking and managing his tree farm for timber.
