Jesse L. Petrea
Jesse Petrea is currently the President of Green Heron Consulting, LLC, a healthcare consulting company. He was previously the Vice President of Development for Help at Home, a national home care organization. For 28 years prior, he was an entrepreneur and the co-owner of Coastal Home Care, Inc. and Altrus, Inc. before selling to Help at Home in January 2019. These companies provided community based services to the frail elderly and developmentally disabled from their corporate offices in Savannah. Jesse has been deeply immersed in Georgia’s home and community based services since 1992. Over the years, he has provided leadership to multiple advisory bodies and trade associations where he has served as Director and President.
Jesse owns and manages commercial real estate and timberland, and is also a board member of the Health Care Mutual Captive Insurance Company.
Jesse is currently the elected State Representative for Georgia House District 166 which includes much of Chatham and Bryan counties. He is Chairman of the Human Resources and Aging Committee and a member of the Appropriations Committee, the
Health and Human Services Committee, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee, the Science and Technology Committee, and the Game, Fish, and Parks Committee.
Jesse is a graduate
of Benedictine Military School and a 1989 graduate of Armstrong State College
with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He and his wife are natives of Savannah
and have two children and three grandchildren. He is a member of Calvary
Baptist Church, the Forest City Gun Club, the Sons of the Revolution, the
Georgia Forestry Association, the St. David’s Society, the German Heritage
Society, the Skidaway Island Republican Club, the Tybee Island Republican Club,
and the Savannah Area Republican Women’s Club. He enjoys hunting, shooting,
fishing, hiking, and managing his tree farms for timber.
